Children's Poems and Stories by E. Schalm: Shay's Imagination

ONE DAY

One day about noon
Shay met a raccoon,
who was playing a tune
with a tin can and spoon.
Out came a musk rat
Swinging a huge bat.
He told the coon to scat,
To Shay he tipped his hat.
