LIFE

Rising sun crawling along the land
Looking into every crevice,
Enthusiastically exploring every strand.

Mid Morning sun so full of life and energy,
Reaching for the far ends,
Embracing all of earth's passion and ecstasy.

Mid Day sun displaying such brilliance,
Embracing and seeing all,
Proffering all life on earth resilience.

Mid Afternoon sun losing some of its shine,
Leaving shadows in its pass,
What has been accomplished now in decline.

Setting sun now giving up its hold,
Letting go of its former glory,
Time to recede and let life unfold.

As I ponder sunrise and sunset each day anew,
The lesson to me is always clear,
The story of how life begins and ends will ensue.
