Children's PoemsChildren's Poems and Stories: Shay's Imagination

In the children's poems section read short poems about life for a child's eyes. From a lamenting snail to a visit with a raccoon.

Children's Stories

The children's stories are about a beaver family that are having their share of problems. Lucky for them, they have a friend named Shay who is always willing to help them out. Shay uses her imagination to help the beavers get out of trouble.

Children's Poems and Stories: Shay's ImaginationIn the children's stories section, find out how Shay helps the beavers repair their broken lodge, how she rescues a pair of beavers who are trapped in a hole, and how she helps the beavers find their lost Baby Annie.

In the end, some of the beavers give Shay imaginary out of this world birthday presents to show their appreciation.

Children's Poems and Stories: Shay's ImaginationThe last of the children's stories is about a lady bug named Laela who gets caught up in a cloud burst and ends up being washed down a storm drain. Luckily she makes it out in one piece. Laela laments to Shay about being too small to be of help to anyone. In the end, though, she helps Shay find her lost kitten and that makes Laela feel big and very proud of herself.

And finally, in the last section, read poems about the depth of life from the heart of Erwin Schalm.
