BLUES

Me and my dog Blues
Walked without shoes.
We stepped in every puddle,
And left it quite a big muddle.

Then we made a mud pie,
A real beauty, without a lie.
A squirrel stopped by to see,
Then scampered up a tree.

We rolled down a hill,
Covered with daffodil.
My shirt and pants were spotty
Blues' hair looked quite knotty.

Time for us to go home.
What will we tell Mom?
Did we both trip and fall,
Or is it best to tell her all?

The End
